The Air Light
TRPX product designer Chikayoshi Nakayama has successfully taken The Air to the next level by making it even lighter. The development of The Air Light began several years ago, with initial tests using ultra-lightweight carbon sheets while maintaining the same materials as The Air wherever possible. The goal was to match the performance and feel of The Air as closely as possible. With these goals met, the product was ready for sale just one year after The Air’s release.
The Air Light was designed as a lighter version of The Air, catering to senior and female golfers who can experience strong shaft kick-back without strain. This allows golfers with relatively lower head speeds to swing smoothly and with ease!

Weight Design
Incorporating metal wires inevitably adds weight to the shaft. Through our unique development process, we have achieved a reduction in weight compared to the conventional ‘Air’ models. For the R flex, designed to accommodate senior golfers, we targeted a weight of just 48g, making it exceptionally easy to swing.”

Stainless PP
Stainless PP is a type of metal wire made from stainless steel. Compared to Ni-Ti metal, it is stiffer and more difficult to bend. This contributes to a heightened sense of control and grip when swinging the golf club.
